Customer Review: Picture Perfect!
We've been waiting to get a bigger tv for our family room apartment and decided to go to Brandsmart to do some searching. We first looked at a 23" Zenith that had a good price, but then the worker showed us this 40" LCD HDTV priced at around $800 but he reduced the price by $100 and we took it home. Here are the things we like and don't like about it: Pros: It picked up some of the digital channels when using the auto search feature and not the ones that don't have the signal. Set up was sort of easy but fun to do! The picture was amazing, but it wasn't actually 720p. It was 1080p or 1080i. Lol! Whenever there's no input device connected like a dvd player, it'll remain in tv mode when you press the input button on the remote. And it has 2 hdmi inputs. Cons: The only problem is that the picture wasn't that great as a monitor comparing to the 19 inch version but it is okay for when we are watching a dvd through our pc. But other that, great tv with the perfect picture! You won't be disappointed once you see it for yourself! :)

This is an awsome no frills TV. Great picture, beautiful high gloss frame with non detachable speaker on bottom. 1080p with lots of inputs including 3 HDMI and a huge 65" flat screen LCD for less than $3100 (that is the deal I got from Amazon around Thanksgiving 2008)! I only gave this 4 stars because unlike Samsung or Sony there is no functionality to plug in USB or camera cards to show pictures/slide show and no networking/internet capabilty (of course you can always connect your laptop and use it as the display or if you have a DVD/VCR with these features). Now for an extra $2200 the Sharp Aquos model above it (LC65SE94U) I believe has all of this. Again for the money this is a great TV.

The is the most amazing TV ever! The picture is amazing! The sound is just as great as the picture without adding on surround sound. The in home delivery was great! They even can on Saturday and showed up earlier then expected!. The entire process from order to deliver took only 6 days. I just completed setting up the TV with HDMI and could not stop watching it. All I could say was WOW!. The picture is flawless and the response time when changing channels is exceptional. Well worth the price and you cannot beat the in home service offered by Amazon.com!!!!!!!

Arrived safely before promised delivery date. Setup was a breeze. Picture quality on digital channels outstanding, analog channels better than previous analog TV (12 year old Sony). I was concerned about picture quality (for example drop-outs on digital channels) because although we are on cable, this particular outlet had been split into three therefore giving weak signal. But the digital channels are incredible. Price I paid was much lower than best offers from Best Buy and Circuit City.

Product was not as pictured--looks way different. And was definitely not "gold plated". I nother words a rip-off. It does work/make the connection and was inexpensive....enough so that I won't bother to return it, but will be buying another brand and suppose I'll keep this as a spare for emergancies.

There are about 4 different discs out there for setting up a Plasma TV. Plasma screens are set up for in store viewing and are to bright for the home. This one is the best, it is also the most exspensive. It can be used to set up Plasma, LCD, front and rear projection and the standard CRT screen. All the instructions are on the disc and an easy to follow setup menu. If you are buying this for a new Plasma screen, check owner's manual first. You may not need this disc. I just bought a 50 inch Panasonic plasma and the 1st time on sreen has you selecting store or home. Selecting home, resets all the video aspects to a different level. When I checked them with this disc, everything was already setup properly.

I have this tv mounted above a fireplace and it looks great, has a crisp picture and the sound is good. I had no problem with the set up of the tv and no problem with the software causing it to turn off. My HD stations are clear and crisp. I need to switch back and forth between hdmi and tv since some stations are not broadcasting in hd and that is a pain, but it is more a problem with my cable company than the tv.

I did lots of research, two weeks worth..it all came down to LG vs Samsung Ln52A650 but let me tell you my gut feeling was to try the 52LG60, it's all that is advertize..Quality picture, set up and options. Lots of people complain about the sound systems on large LCD but that why people buy Home Theater Systems. I will definetely recomend, you won't regret it.

I was able to get a hand on this piece of equipment for under $300 and so far I am rather pleased with it. The colors are good, the resolution is solid, and overall it is a versatile device, giving me a good gaming and TV watching experience as well as serving as a decent second monitor. It is slightly annoying that the base is inflexible, and it does take a painfully long time to start up. As a college student though, it sits proudly upon my desk and has served me well so far.

Bought to use in bedroom for HDTV. Overall I'm using as a TV and have been satisfied. I have also tested as a PC monitor using my laptop with the HDMI connector. This unit had no dead pixels. Picture is sharp and clear as an HDTV using HDMI with dish network HD. As others have stated the speakers are on the weak side. I had an old set of Altec Lansings with the subwoofer and now the audio is great. As a PC monitor I found text to be on the fuzzy side but most images looked pretty good. I give the Viewsonic 4 stars because - You must you the external audio to get audio that will be pleasing. As a TV this is a great value. If you are wanting to use this solely as a PC monitor I would give it 3 stars and would look elsewhere. Paid $250 on the net.

This TV is one of the best investments I've ever made. I bought it as a gift to myself and I couldn't be happier. I used to never watch TV. Now I can't stop. Everything is perfect. Amazons white glove delivery is just GREAT. They set it up, plug it in, any problems? give them or Amazon a call and they will ship it back. What I like: -Don't let the 5 series foul you, the picture qualtiy is jaw dropping -Black levels are deep and distinguishable -ATSC/QAM tuner is great, got more Channels than I knew I had -The Plug and Play option makes it quick and simple to start. (programs channels, time, and pre-adjusted settings) -Sleek, simple, and sharp looking -The remote has a backlit feature -Comes with a cleaning cloth Cons: -PiP only works when you have 2 different sources running. (I.E) TV and XBOX 360, -Speakers are on the back instead of the sides (not too bad if you change the settings) There aren't many negative issues with this TV. Consumer Reports rate this one of their favorite. I think its "The best bang for the buck." Eventhough this TV might be last years model, it delivers great quality other brands lack. Although 120hz is the next level or standard when it comes to HDTV (240hz is out also) 60hz is more then enough for everyday watching. The TV did not lag when the NBA game was on, nor did it lag when playing the fast paced games on the Xbox 360. Overall its a Great TV! No wonder Samsung is on Top of the list
